Rush, Guy, Susan, Allie, and I just got back from hiking the Ohlone Wilderness Trail. We left early Saturday morning and got on the trail by 9:30am. 7 hours and 14 miles later, we finally made it to our campsite. The trail involved a ton of climbing, maybe 5500 feet total on that first day, and we were beat. But nothing beats a nice hot dinner and a warm campfire at the end of a long day. The 2nd day was mellow, only 6 miles, which I think we were all thankful for. The trip was a ton of fun, and it reminded me of why I used to go backpacking so much. We'll have to do another trip sometime.
p.s. Who's up for a ski trip?

papamingo
how many times must i explain the goodness that is papamingo?!
heard of pinkberry? papamingo is the only east bay equivlaent. it's the korean frozen yogurt craze that is all the rage in LA. although, it's not really fro-yo. it's soooooo much better. it's this tangy, tart, natural yogurt (comes in green tea and pomegrante too) and you can pick your choice of toppings - fresh fruit, little mochi balls, chocolate chips, nuts, captain crunch, etc. it's overpriced and sometimes the fruit is still frozen, but it's oh so good. delicious.
papamingo's on channing right at the corner of telegraph. anytime anyone wanna try, i'm there!

make the pain go away
i am officially done with 6 out of 8 straight days of ED shifts. two more to go, but i'm working the crappy "clinic-to-1am" shift tomorrow, followed by 11a-9p the next day. i'm thinking i might not even go home in between. are there any med students using the transport call room, or can i crash that?
and what the heck is papamingo?
