Andrew is yelling at me for not posting on the blog, so here I am. And this is my very interesting post. I have not gone to the dentist in 2+ years and will be making my cameo tomorrow afternoon. In preparation of this momentous day, I have brushed especially diligently and even flossed my teeth. They'll never know that this is the first time in months! HA HA! I fooled them!

internet dating
newly armed with my japanese hair-straightening treatment, and aghast at the paucity of good men that i've been able to meet with my busy resident's schedule, i've decided to give internet dating a try. who's in with me? viven, i know you'll keep my in good company. i've also decided to let my fellow PL-2's write my profile page for me. any suggestions, please post them here.
sample:
i am a vivacious and lively pediatrician who hates long walks on the beach and all other cliches of relationships. i harbor a secret addiction for reality tv ("so you think you can dance!!"), and i am a very social and talkative person. i do have a dorky side (i like to combine words like deck and patio = datio; beyond amazing = b'amazing), and i am seeking a man who will appreciate the intellectual and dorky sides of me, as well as the social going-out-and-dancing side of me. surgeons need not apply.

Kell kills, Duffy dies, and Lewis lives
sounds like a title for a movie (along the lines of "Kill Bill"), but apparently this is a mnemonic for the minor blood group antigens and their significance in transfusion reactions.
how come nobody is posting?

wedding bells
Happy special day to Kensho and his incredible new wife!!
Congratulations to the beautiful couple. Can not wait to see the pics. Must have been a lucky day for so many, many reasons.
See you when you both get back.
Until then,
Heather
**call night genius by Andrew, Christi, Christina and myself--hope this blog is both a source of fun and a medium for frustration venting. A computerized form of intern support perhaps--without Elio, and without food, and without everyone in person. But it can still include rants and smiles and tears and hugs, right? **

the brainchild of the quadrumvirate
one lonely call night, 4 brilliant new senior residents made time between brilliantly teaching on the wards, admitting ailing children, and brilliantly writing brilliant research theses to concoct a plan to bring their fellow residents even closer. closer than the CHO class of 2009 already was? impossible!! yet there were those who feared the dark times to come, in the dead of winter, amidst a sea of RSV and AGE, times when the class of 2009 might not have the strength to overcome the iniquities of the admit pager, when the class of 2009 might not have the endurance to overcome 30 straight hours of mind-numbing admissions and endless rounds upon rounds upon rounds, when the class of 2009 might not have the wisdom to realize that the hospital really would fall apart without them. thus, it was in the spirit of CHO, brought forth by the inspiration of our forefathers, who themselves have made their spirits available to us, that this blog was thusly created. let it be a forum for all to post their joys, their dread, the heart-wrenching moments, their triumphs in IV placements, their champagne taps (and bloody ones), and the vomitus O the vomitus especially found deep into call on a sunday far removed from the civilized world where young professionals are out laughing and enjoying the sunshine and the shade and 2 whole days off in a row. EVERY. WEEK. may this blog serve us all well. and may the force be with us.
(for future reference, there are CHO blogs at http://cholife2007.blogspot.com and http://choresidents2008.blogspot.com)
